Los Dias de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is months away but I have a thing for Mexico! In 2013 me and the man went to a Los Dias de Los Muertos celebration in Shoreditch and there were dozens of beautiful Mexican girls in gorgeous colourful dresses with their pretty faces painted like skulls. I really wanted to make a pair of shoes using Mexican culture as my inspiration (even if I won't get to wear the shoes for a while!). I used print outs of Las Senoritas Pin Up Girls fabric by Alexander Henry to decoupage all over and then used multicoloured skull beads to decorate the back. I really love these as they are so colourful and fun!
